Nature & Leisure
With over 80 peaks above 3,000 metres, the mountain landscape surrounding the Mühlwalder Valley, the Tauferer Valley, and the Ahrntal Valley forms a region full of contrasts – green alpine pastures, clear glacial lakes, and powder snow make every season a truly unique experience.
Lappach in the Mühlwalder Valley
Lappach is a small mountain village at an elevation of 1,436 meters and is located at the end of the Mühlwalder Valley in the popular holiday region of Sand in Taufers and Ahrntal. The snow-covered glaciers of the Zillertal Alps with well-known mountains such as Hoher Weißzint, Großer Möseler, and Turnerkamp frame the village of Lappach and the Neves Reservoir at the valley's end. Mountain farms, alpine pastures, well-maintained landscapes, a multitude of mills, glaciers, and mountain streams shape the landscape and give the valley its rustic character.
